Bands in charity music marathon

Twenty-eight bands will be providing 14 hours of live music at a Jersey bar to raise money for charity.

Kenny's Gig at Bar Rock in St Helier will raise money for three charities, the Scott Gibaut Housing Trust, Wessex Heartbeat and La Motte Street Centre.

The event on Sunday is in memory of islander Kenny Mallett who died two years ago at the age of 19.

He attended the heart conditions centre, Wessex Heartbeat in Southampton, throughout his life.
