A woman who campaigned to make it compulsory to wear a seatbelt in the back of the car in Jersey has been nominated for a national award.
Teresa Phillips is one of three finalists in the UK Campaigner of the Year awards which is run by the Headway charity for people with brain injuries.
She was injured in a car accident 26 years ago.
The island's government voted in March to make it law to wear a seatbelt in the rear of the car.

Once you have a brain injury you don't have a choice

Ms Phillips was nominated for the award by staff at Jersey's Headway branch.
"I'm really surprised but I'm just pleased that the law got passed," she said.
"This is just the icing on the cake - the main thing is to keep people safe.
"People say they want the choice [of whether to wear a seatbelt], but once you have a brain injury you don't have a choice."
The award winner will be announced on 10 December at the Dorchester hotel in London.
Ms Phillips said she will be attending it with her daughter Meg, who is studying in the UK.
