Call to end 'mediocre' buildings

Jersey's planning minister says he wants to replace mediocre designs with exceptional architecture.

Senator Freddie Cohen is launching his design guide as Jersey celebrates the work of planners and architects.

In future the industry should focus more on the relevance of the building to its setting and how it contributes to it surroundings.

He says the guide will help create a common bond between the industry and the community.
