Taxi price fixing probe dropped

An investigation into whether cab drivers in Jersey were fixing prices has stopped.

The Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority halted its investigation after an agreement with the group representing cab drivers.

Jersey Cab Drivers Association said it will no longer be advising drivers what fares to charge.

Competition Laws prohibit agreements among competitors that determine or influence the price paid by the public.
