Time-switch opponents spread word

Campaigners against a switch to Central European Time (CET) in Jersey are stepping up their campaign by leafleting all homes on the island.

Neighbouring Guernsey is awaiting the results of a referendum on the issue in Jersey which would mean moving clocks one hour ahead of GMT.

The switch would mean more evening daylight in the summer.

However, some business leaders have said moving to a different time zone from the UK could affect new business.
