Energy consultant is power boss

An energy consultant has been chosen to be the new chief executive of Jersey Electricity.

Chris Ambler, 39, a Cambridge graduate who also holds an MBA, will start work after current Chief Executive Mike Liston steps down in September.

Mr Liston will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

The company said it was having difficulties sustaining supplies in the worsening global economy and Mr Ambler would help it deal with the problems.
