Mencap to launch dating agency

A new dating agency in Jersey is aiming to help islanders with learning disabilities find romance.

It is being run by the charity Mencap from its self-advocacy office in St Helier and will be officially launched in August.

David Harburn is helping with the project and explained why there was a need for such an agency.

"Maybe the person doesn't understand how to use the telephone or... money. This project will help," he said.
