A 45-year-old man has appeared in court in Jersey in connection with allegations of abuse at a former children's home.

Michael Aubin appeared before Jersey magistrates accused of sexually abusing three boys at Haut de la Garenne between 1977 and 1980.

Mr Aubin, who was born in Jersey and lives in Southampton, was arrested on the British mainland last month.

He was remanded in custody and will return to court on 30 June.

Mr Aubin is charged with two counts of indecent assault against a seven-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, and one count of serious sexual assault against an eight-year-old boy.

Two other men have been charged with abuse following the Haut de la Garenne probe.

In a separate investigation, police have found 30 bone fragments and 10 milk teeth at the home.
