Police board motor cruiser in bay

Police in Jersey had to board a motor cruiser in St Aubins Bay after it was taken from a marina.

The incident began when an 18-year-old man boarded the vessel while it was moored in the Elizabeth Marina.

He then manoeuvred it without permission out of the marina and into the bay.

Staff from the fire and rescue service, Jersey Harbour department, coastguards and the RNLI were also involved in the operation.

Police warned boat owners to make sure they secured their vessels properly.
