Care charity draws on legacies
A Jersey nursing charity will be digging into its own coffers to make up a shortfall in funding.

Family Nursing and Home Care has nurses and therapists who care for 7,000 islanders in their homes.

This year it will get £5.8m from the States, an increase above the rate of inflation from last year.

But the charity says it will still be £150,000 a year short and plans to use money from legacies to keep its services going.

Over recent years, it has absorbed district nursing societies and home help services.
