Warning of possible bus fare rise
Bus fares may need to be increased to fund extra facilities for drivers, transport officials have warned.

Transport Minister Guy de Faye says the new bus station needs facilities for drivers during their rest periods.

Space is also needed to park buses that are not in use. He said the States was already paying £50,000 to rent the new site and £180,000 for refurbishments.

Mr de Faye said the extra facilities were essential in order for the service to run properly.
