2008 States budgets are fixed
Jersey's 2008 business plan has been announced, with the largest allocation increases going to the Housing, Social Security and Home Affairs departments.

The Chief Minister's Business Plan for 2008 includes financial forecasts up to 2013, and allocations of £550m for States' departments next year.

The Housing Department will be awarded 20% more than last year.

The additional budget for Home Affairs will go towards improvements at La Moye Prison and on education for prisoners.
