Landslide closes rail branchline
A Cornish railway branchline has been closed after a landslide.

The landslip, on the Par to Newquay branchline near St Blazey, occurred on Saturday after heavy rainfalls.

Network Rail said it would take some time to stabilise the area and that the line was expected to be closed until at least Monday.

About 1,000 tonnes of stone are needed to shore up the embankment. A bus service is replacing trains until the stone is in place.
