Whistleblower website is launched
A website has been created for Jersey States workers and the public to blow the whistle on malpractice in companies and States departments.

The Comptroller and Auditor General has set up a section of his site for people who have concerns about legal issues, potential crimes or other matters.

Complaints can be made about any island firm or States department.

But Chris Swinson said people working for the States were also being encouraged to raise their concerns.

The site has been set up in response to calls in the past for Jersey people to have someone to tell if they have evidence of malpractice, either in their workplace or elsewhere.

Mr Swinson said he would look at every allegation but would only investigate if he thought it was in the public interest.
