Inventive pupils win London trip
Three inventive school pupils from Jersey have been chosen for a trip to London next month to see an exhibition of work by Leonardo da Vinci.

Accountancy firm Deloitte asked island school children to come up with ideas to benefit Jersey and 400 entered.

Callum Cunningham, aged eight, designed a warning system for drivers and Stephanie Savva, 12, came up with a way homes can run on wind and solar energy.

Jack Allenet, 17, designed a methane-powered bus.

"I think it's quite important because we're running out of fossil fuels to power your house and everything," said Stephanie.
