Portuguese Club: The team can appeal
The Portuguese Club has been suspended from Jersey's football league until the end of the season.

The club, which plays in the Combination's 2nd Division, has been referred to the disciplinary committee.

The reason for the suspension has not been disclosed, but it is believed to be the first incident of its type for the Combination League.

League President Tim Darwin said he was disappointed, but said Jersey Football Association had to maintain discipline.

The club can appeal against the suspension, which came into force on 23 September.

The club's president, Manuel da Silva, refuses to comment at the moment.
