Fur ban supported by politician
Jersey should ban fur imports because of its links with animal welfare, according to a politician.

More than 2,500 people have signed a petition asking the States to ban the importation of fur and fur products.

Senator Stuart Syvret said he supported the petition and would ask the relevant States department to introduce the necessary legislation.

He says Jersey is linked to animal welfare through its connection with the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
