Support for island partnerships

A group campaigning for civil partnerships to be legally recognised is being supported by a Jersey senator.

Senator Philip Ozouf says he agrees with a petition being organised by Progress Jersey.

He says he wants people in same sex partnerships to have the same rights as other islanders.

Senator Ozouf wants the States to support the move, and changes to allow gay partnerships to be registered to be made as soon as possible.
