A new dairy could be built on a brown-field site at a farm in Jersey.
Plans for the new Jersey Dairy include a centre for visitors
Planning authorities have approved proposals for Jersey Dairy at Howard Davis Farm in Trinity, although the land is still owned by the States.
The plans include a modern dairy and a visitor centre where islanders and tourists can learn how different dairy products are made.
A States debate must take place before the land is sold, and Jersey Dairy is hopeful that will happen soon.
Spokesman Kevin Keen described the planning approval as "fantastic news".
