Transport and Technical Services in Jersey are closing Beach Road in St Clements for resurfacing works.
Last week motorists had problems when road works around the Dicq area led to lengthy delays at the rush hour.
The chief Officer John Richardson says the work will happen outside peak times and start at 0900 GMT and finish by 1600 GMT.
They are carrying out the work during the half term holidays because there will be less traffic.
