Free TV licence plans finalised
The rules on who can apply for a free television licence in Jersey have been agreed.

Islanders who are eligible have to be aged over 75, earning less than 13,000 if they are single or under 21,000 if they are married.

The scheme is not yet up and running and those eligible are being told to continue paying their licence fee, which would later be refunded.

TV licences are free for all over-75s in the UK.
