Nuclear power firm meets States
French electricity company EDF is meeting States members and the public over a new nuclear generator at Flamanville on the French coast.

Work is due to start next year on a third generator at Flamanville.

But before that the French Government is holding a public debate on the proposals, and the Channel Islands are being included.

The presentations are due to be finished in the next few months and then a report will be made public.

Environmentalists have raised fears the waters and marine life around the Channel Islands could be affected by nuclear waste.
