Festival marks castle's reopening
Gorey Castle courtyard
Gorey Castle has been undergoing restoration work for four years
The reopening of Gorey Castle is to be the highlight of a spring festival organised by Jersey Tourism.

The festival, from 1 to 23 April, will feature open gardens, special walks and other activities.

On 2 April, the castle will be open to the public with entertainment and historical re-enactments to mark the end of a four-year restoration project.

The festival also features exhibitions of Jersey textiles at the Royal Jersey showground in Trinity.

There are nature and bird watching walks as part of the festival which is called Colours of Spring.

The festival will feature tours of the stained-glass windows of the island artist Henry Bosdet.
