Organic farming campaigners in Jersey want States subsidies paid to newcomers to the industry.
The Jersey Organic Association (JOA) has published a response to a States report on the environment.
The new rural strategy looks at how land in the island is being used as the agricultural industry declines.
The JOA wants subsidies for all new farmers instead of only for big earners and is warning that planning policies can hinder rural businesses.
