Cupid's arrows missing the mark
Fewer couples than usual appear to be tying the knot in Jersey over the Christmas period.

The Register Office said it has only two weddings booked for Christmas Eve, with only two more before New Year.

Jersey Wedding Services believes it could be because civil weddings can now be held in other locations and not just in churches or registry offices.

David Lister, a toastmaster and delegate registrar, said cost could also be an issue for couples.

He believes there are also more couples who choose to remain unmarried.
