Meeting called over St Malo ferry
People unhappy about the ferry links between Jersey and St Malo are being invited to a public meeting at the Town Hall on Wednesday.

It is being organised by Deputy Sean Power who thinks Jersey cannot support two ferry services on the route.

Repairs mean that there is currently only one ferry running.

He claims the withdrawal of services by Emeraude Ferries shows the system is not working and he is criticising the States for not addressing the problem.

Emeraude has confirmed that it will not be running any services until February 2006.
