Meeting held over fishing rules
Anglers
Angling issues are dealt with by the States Marine Advisory Panel
Anglers are being asked for their views on how fishing off the coast of Jersey is regulated.

Angling is the largest participatory sport in the islands, but the Jersey Federation of Sea Angling Clubs says anglers are not properly represented.

Andrew Syvret, from the federation, says it is hard to gather the necessary information as angling is mainly a solitary sport.

He has organised an open meeting on Wednesday to hear people's views.

Issues such as fishermen's rights, where they can and cannot fish and protecting the marine environment, are currently dealt with by the Jersey Sea Fisheries and Marine Resources Advisory Panel.

The meeting will be held at 2000 BST at the Societe Jersiaise in St Helier.
