Clipper crewman nurses broken rib
Clipper yacht
The Jersey yacht is currently languishing in 10th position
A crew member from the Jersey Clipper has had to stay behind in Cape Town for medical treatment.

Jersey solicitor Mark Wain broke a rib after falling on the deck of the yacht.

Skipper Mark Taylor hopes he will rejoin the race when the boat, which has now passed the Cape of Good Hope, arrives in Durban.

It is the latest of a series of blows for the defending champion yacht which is in 10th place out of 10 in the Clipper round-the-world race.

The yachts are competing across 35,000 miles of sea, visiting 12 ports, before returning to Liverpool next July.
