Shot tortoiseshell cat recovering
A Jersey vet treating a cat which had been shot with 15 pellets says it should make a full recovery.

Jeremy Miller says the cat had been missing for three days when it was found and brought to him.

He found the tortoiseshell cat's leg was broken, and spotted the pellet when he x-rayed the wound.

He then checked the rest of the cats body and found the other pellets had lodged under its skin. Despite that Mr Miller says the cat is recovering.

He said: "After the repair, within three days it was starting to use the leg again and now it's beginning to walk on it and now's sitting there purring away in it's cage."
