The search is on to find successors to last year's winners
The search is on for this year's 'Miss Battles' in the Jersey parishes of St Ouen and Grouville.

Applicants must be aged over 18 and have resided in Jersey for the past three years and in their respective parishes for the last six months.

Winners compete with other parishes for the chance to become Miss Battle Of Flowers or her Maid of Honour.

Potential Miss Grouville's are being judged on 16 April and Miss Ouen will be crowned on 7 May.

There have only been a few applications so far and officials are looking for more to apply.

A winner and runner up will be chosen by parish judges after being asked questions about themselves, their interests and their parishes.

The final Miss Battle competition takes place on 11 June.
