Bailiff swears in new church Dean

The island's Dean is also the priest of St Helier Parish Church
Jersey's new Anglican Dean will be officially sworn in on Thursday.

The Very Reverend Bob Key is taking up the role as the Head of the Church of England in the island.

The Dean, who is married with a son and two daughters, will be sworn in by Jersey's Bailiff before a full sitting at the Royal Court.

A religious service will take place at St Helier Parish Church in the evening. The Dean will be installed to his position by the Bishop of Winchester.

The island's Dean is also the priest of St Helier Parish Church.
