A crew member of the Jersey Clipper has been taken off the yacht after breaking his ankle on board.
Peter Mourant was evacuated from the Round the World Yacht Race vessel on Monday by a lifeboat from Fishguard when it was off the Welsh coast.
He was operated on at a hospital in Wales and will stay there until Friday before being flown back to Jersey.
The Clipper fell to ninth place after meeting the lifeboat. By Tuesday it managed to move up to seventh place.
It is about 23 miles (37km) behind the leader Liverpool - en route to Portugal.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race set sail from Liverpool's Albert Dock on Sunday.
The 10 yachts taking part will cross 35,000 miles of sea, visiting 12 ports including New York and Brazil before returning to Liverpool next July.
Jersey is the defending champion.
