Astronomers in Jersey are urging people who want to look at next month's partial eclipse of the sun to make sure they protect their eyes.
The Jersey Astronomy Club will be open on 3 October for people to view the eclipse through special filters.
It is one of a number of highlights for stargazers in the coming weeks.
On midnight on 22 September people will be able to see Mars rising if the sky is clear, and later in the day people may be able to see Saturn.
