West End girl appears for nothing
Jersey's struggling Opera House has received another boost after an actress agreed to perform for free.

Clare Buckfield, star of 2.4 Children, was asked by theatre director Ian Stevens whether she would be prepared to perform without a fee.

She said that because of the difficult financial position of the Opera House she would be happy to do it.

West End Girls starts a three week run on Thursday evening. It is a series of performances of songs from musicals.
