Christmas celebrations under way

People in the Jersey parish of Gorey have been getting into the Christmas spirit with festive celebrations.

They are enjoying the second week of the annual Fete de L'Avent.

Each Saturday leading up to Christmas, there will be a variety of festive events in Gorey village including a Christingle market.

People will be able to buy handmade gifts and there will be a procession to the Catholic church before the second advent candle is lit.

All profits from the event will be donated to the Jersey Hospice in memory of the Reverend Derrick Mellor.
