Nominations deadline for Isle of Man by-election

People in the Isle of Man will discover who they can vote for in next month's House of Keys by-election.

The deadline for candidates to submit nomination forms to stand in East Douglas passed at noon.

The seat became vacant when the outgoing member Phil Braidwood was elected to the Legislative Council.

Returning officer, Chris Cope, based at Athol Street, Douglas is collating the forms and will publish the names for the election on 27 May.
