Heavy rain and high winds are forecast for the region

Government emergency teams in the Isle of Man are on standby with more heavy rain and high winds forecast.

The Department of Transport Works Division mobilised 16 teams over the weekend to clear flooding and fallen trees after the heavy rain and storms.

A government spokesman urged motorists to show consideration to staff working to clear floods while driving through affected areas.

Flooding, landslides or fallen trees should be reported, the spokesman said.
