Tighter law on firework displays

Fireworks - generic
Manx law prevents fireworks being sold beyond 5 November

Firework displays held on days after Bonfire Night must be registered, the Isle of Man government has warned.

Only large purchases of fireworks are allowed on the island past 5 November, after the law surrounding the use of fireworks was tightened.

Anyone planning a fireworks display outside the Bonfire Night and New Year Eve periods must inform the Department of Home Affairs.

When and where the display will be staged must also be advertised.
