Thieves steal rare racing bikes

Two valuable racing bicycles have been stolen from a house in the Isle of Man.

The Allez Comp and Rock Hopper bikes were taken from Ballanard Road in Douglas between Wednesday and Saturday.

The first is red and white with shimano wheels, which have six forks in each wheel. It has has a training computer attached to the handlebars.

The Rock Hopper is white with front suspension and also had a training computer attached. The value of the bikes is estimated to be £2,500.

An Isle of Man police spokesman said: "Members of the public are urged to be vigilant as these particular cycles are not common on the island and this theft has caused considerable upset to the owner."
