Attack man suffers face injuries

A man suffered serious facial injuries when he was attacked in Douglas on the Isle of Man.

He was assaulted by two men as he walked across Derby Square Park in Douglas at 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

His attackers then fled the scene, running in the direction of the Manx Museum at the top of Crellins Hill.

A police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old man had since been arrested and bailed. An appeal for witnesses has been issued.
