Fatal crash motorcyclist is named

Motorcyclist Mark Penketh suffered fatal injuries in the crash

A 40-year-old motorcyclist who died when his bike collided with a green Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Isle of Man has been named by police.

The accident happened on Ballaquayle Road, Douglas, at its junction with Woodbourne Road on 16 September at about 2105 BST.

Mark Andrew Penketh, from Douglas, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have seen or spoken to Mr Penketh before the crash to contact them.

The road was closed for seven hours while police carried out collision investigation enquiries.
