Two injured in crash on TT course

Two people are in hospital after a two-car collision on the route of the Isle of Man's main TT course.

The accident happened at Quarry Bend, Ballaugh, late on Monday night.

A 17-year-old boy from Ramsey is being treated in Nobles hospital and a 58-year-old man from Peel was kept in overnight, police said.

An investigation is under way into the cause of the crash. Police are keen to trace the driver of a 4x4 vehicle travelling towards Sulby at the time.

Insp Derek Flint, of Isle of Man police, said: "The car was observed to flash other motorists travelling towards Ballaugh.

"The driver may have invaluable information to assist in the investigation of the incident."
