Man seriously hurt in collision

A man has been seriously injured in a road crash between two vehicles on the Isle of Man.

A Renault Megane car and a Land Rover Defender collided on Ballig Bridge on the A3 in the Parish of German on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the Land Rover was taken to Nobles Hospital with injuries which were described as serious, but not life threatening, police said.

The A3 was closed for about two hours as a result of the collision.
