Secure bike parking areas set up

Motorcyclists in the Isle of Man are to be provided with new secure parking areas.

Douglas Borough Council has created six pay-and-display spaces on level three of Shaw's Brow car park in the town.

Works committee chairman Ritchie McNicholl said new technology would be used, in the form of MotoLoc wall anchors, to secure the bikes.

The new security units would have a space for a parking ticket incorporated into the design.
