Stolen tortoise 'needs medicine'

A tortoise stolen from an animal centre on the Isle of Man could die if it does not receive its antibiotics, police have said.

The tortoise was taken from the Island Aquatic Centre at Eden Park in Cooil Road between 1530 BST and 1800 BST on Monday.

Isle of Man Police said there were concerns about the animal's health.

A police spokesman appealed for anyone with information or who has been offered a tortoise to come forward.
