Construction of a new headquarters for the Manx Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) remains on target, a government spokesman said.

The "eco-office" - to be called Thie Slieau Whallian - will pioneer "energy efficiency and sustainability".

Work started on site in January and completion is expected in April 2010.

The building will enable the Department to centralise its six divisions which are currently based at various locations around the island.
