Biker dies after crash in TT race

A motorcyclist has been killed during the Senior TT on the last day of the races on the Isle of Man.

Race organisers have confirmed that John Crellin, 55, died in an accident at the Mountain Box on the fifth lap.

The incident comes just hours after he secured a podium position in the XGP race on Friday morning.

A police spokesman has confirmed that he died after the crash and it is understood that no other bike was involved.

Mr Crellin had competed in a number of TT races and Manx Grand Prix events.

He was a civil engineer with the Department of Transport's design services division.
