Island targeting London tourists

London black cabs will have Isle of Man branding

Londoners are being targeted in a tourism drive by the Isle of Man government.

The Isle of Man Department of Tourism and Leisure has launched a high-profile media campaign in the capital.

Billboard advertisements have been erected, TV adverts are to be shown and some London black cabs will display Isle of Man branding.

The campaign aims to encourage more people to look closer to home when choosing a holiday destination.

Martyn Quayle MHK, Minister for Tourism and Leisure, said: "With improved flight links to the island from London City Airport, Gatwick and Luton, and the Island's ease of access from other major airports, it is important to raise awareness of all that the Isle of Man has to offer to visitors.

"We look forward to welcoming to the Island a greater number of visitors from London and the south east of England in future."
