Sir Norman Wisdom is in a home on the Isle of Man

The Isle of Man home of legendary showman Sir Norman Wisdom has gone on the market.

His family has taken the decision to sell the house - The Lhen, north of Andreas - after taking specialist medical advice about the comedian.

Sir Norman is now living in a residential home in Ballasalla.

A price tag of £950,000 has been put on the property - which would require "some updating" - and is said to have been designed by Sir Norman.

Steve Smith, director of estate agents Dean Wood in Ramsey who are selling the property on behalf of the family, said he expected there to be a lot of interest in the comic's home.

"Obviously there will be a certain degree of interest from people who would like to see where Sir Norman lived, but we would hope that out of the crowd will come a few potential buyers," he said.
