Nine on drugs charges after raids

Drug raid
Officers allegedly found heroin and cocaine

Nine people have been charged with drugs offences after police raids in the Isle of Man.

Officers arrested 17 people during Operation Deflect which was carried out on six consecutive days.

Homes in Douglas, Onchan, Willaston, Pulrose, Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and Port Erin were targeted in the raids last week.

Six of those arrested were released on bail, one was cautioned and one released with no further action.

The drugs allegedly recovered included heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis.
